WHERE TO MEET
We will meet at 10AM on October 22nd at 37 Lords Way, Windham, ME. Directions can be found HERE.
WHAT TO BRING
This event will be a completely outdoors. You will need appropriate clothing for the weather as well as a face covering when social distancing is not possible. This is an adventure race so please wear sturdy shoes and athletic clothing that allows for good range of motion. A gear list can be found below. It is that time of year where hunters are in the woods. Please bring an article of clothing that is high visibility or blaze orange. You will need your smartphone. Download the free app “Avenza” onto your phone as you will utilize this app to find the location of each challenge.

Here you will find a complete list of items for this adventure. Please bring many clothing options and we will do a gear check, prior to the race, to make sure that you are well prepared.
Please wear synthetic materials such as wool, polyester, goose down, and tech wick. NO COTTON. We recommend that you layer your clothing so you can manage your body temperature appropriately. A small backpack to carry extra clothing layers, equipment, food and water is required.
We will provide first aid kits, shared group gear, ropes and other technical equipment as needed.
Beanie, Sunglasses, Sun hat, face mask, blaze orange hat
Base Layer, Light Insulating Layer, Rain-proof shell jacket, blaze orange vest or similar
Base Layer, Athletic pants
Sturdy shoes such as trail runners, hiking boots, or running shoes.

Activities: Adventure race challenge – including planning the route, navigation, communication, rappelling, teamwork obstacles

10AM: Arrival at 37 Lords Way, Windham, ME
10:15AM – 10:30AM: Introductions
10:30AM-12:30PM: Discuss objectives, review plan and organize into teams. Skill training needed for adventure race.
12:30PM-1PM: Lunch break
1PM-3PM: Adventure Race
3PM-4PM: Recap and review. Analyze good, bad and unexpected. Complete team makeup questionnaires.
Lunch will be provided. Please bring trail snacks such as granola bars, candy bars, clif bars etc to snack on during the planning portion as well as the actual adventure race.
