We will provide first aid kits, shared group gear, stoves and tents.

TRAINING
Proper training plays a big factor in your success and enjoyment during this backpacking adventure. Our days will consist of hiking moderate terrain with minimal uphill travel for 4-5 miles. You will be expected to carry your own 30-40lb backpack everyday. Due to the relatively easy terrain, this adventure is perfect for beginner backpackers. By training for this adventure, you will only increase your enjoyment. Training can include running, hiking, hill or stair climbs with a heavy pack and long days spent in the mountains. Focus on legs, core, back and cardio. Upper body strength is a bonus but does not directly translate to big outdoor adventures.

GRATUITIES and OTHER COSTS
Our guides are highly trained and have logged countless hours in the backcountry gaining the experience and knowledge it requires to become a guide for NEM. A typical gratuity for a job well done is 15% or $20pp/guide/day.
Airfare, Transportation and Food are not included in the cost of the trip.
